Bye Bye Chainsaw

Those are the words that Caleb has repeated over and over again for the past few days.  We are kind of proud that his new favorite word is chainsaw.  You may be wondering why is he saying chainsaw.  Well we had four trees removed from our yard and Caleb was intrigued and in love with the sound of the chainsaw.

Here are the before pictures. We had one pine in the front yard removed, and two pine trees in the back yard removed along with a poplar that was in the middle of our back deck.

Here is the pine in the front yard and one of the pines in the back yard (behind the fence)

While they were removing the branches from the Poplar we went upstairs and opened the blinds and we were eye level with the guy in the tree. Caleb was amazed, as was I.  It was so interesting to watch the process and how careful they were.  They have it down to a science.

The boys and I were able to sit outside and watch them cut down the pine in the back yard next to the drive way.  Here are some action shots.
Micah was in the Ergo carrier with the infant insert but it was so hot and easier for us to sit down so I took him out.  Micah is 1 month old in this picture.

Here are the after pictures.

Our back yard looks so empty now, and deck looks huge (other than the hole in the middle).  Now Chris has to replace all the boards.  And we have to decide what new trees we want to plant.  We need some shade for the house because the sunsets in the back yard.  We'll keep you updated as we figure out what to do.
