Belly pictures

Here I am at 22 weeks. My belly is really growing, I hope you can tell. I decided to wear the same shirt in hopes that the comparison would be obvious. I am now wearing only maternity clothes (other than dresses). The pants just got too tight.

Belly close up at 22 weeks

So my sweet sister in law, Tonya, made this shirt for me. The picture is actually Caleb. Can you believe it? She found a website where you can make maternity shirts. I don't know if you can tell but the picture is right on top of the belly. She also made Chris a shirt that says "Dad to Be" on the front with a picture of a baby wearing a blue shirt and on the back it says "Got Advice?". We wore them to church on sunday night and we got tons of compliments. Thanks Tonya.

22 weeks

Hello people, so I'm not the best blogger. Sorry. I will have an updated belly picture soon (cause it is growing).

I finally felt him move. It took a long time but now I feel him off and on through out the day moving around or maybe just kicking me. The other day I forgot to eat breakfast, and he started moving around. So I looked at my belly and said, alright alright I'll feed you. It was a funny reminder that I truly am eating for both of us.

We decided on a name: Caleb Christopher Mardis. Caleb for the Israelite that who was one the men who wandered for 40 years searching for the promise land. He was one of the "spies" sent to look for the promise land. When the "spies" returned they lied to the people, all except Caleb and Jacob that is. Because of this the people had to continue wandering for another 40 years and Caleb and Jacob were the only men to live long enough to live in the promised land. Joshua 14:14 Caleb wholly followed the Lord the God of Israel. And Christopher is of course after his father.

20 week Ultrasound

We got to see the baby today. I think they said that Baby Mardis weighs 11 ounces and is 13.6 cm long. It was so fun to see the baby and to find out the gender. Here are a few of the best pictures the baby kept moving so they were having trouble getting good pictures. This is our favorite profile shot.

This is a sweet picture of the baby's foot. We also got to see both hands but didn't get a picture of those.

And the big reveal. Below is the picture that shows the gender.

In case you aren't sure what you are looking at. This picture is from below, so you are looking at the babies buttocks with the legs spread out revealing his little man parts.

We are having a BOY!! Chris and I are elated, now we have to find a name.
